Getting Started with Webflow

Webflow is not a platform we see much in the Collective, but rest assured, our team will do their best to help you get set with our ads.

So long as you have a paid account, you should be able to get our header code from your site profile and paste it into your webflow site.  These instructions come from Webflow's own guides, just with our own instructions for where to get your code added in.

Getting Your SHE Media Header Code

Start by logging in to https://my.shemedia.com and in the menu, go to My Settings >> Site and Ads >> and click on Your Ad Code.

This will bring up this screen. You'll want to click on the section we've circled in the screenshot below.

This will lead to a list of all the manual ad code we have generated for you, with buttons to copy that script to your clipboard.  The top one is your header code - this is the brain for our code, so to speak. This is what you'll need to copy.

Installing the Header Code in Webflow

To add custom code to the Head tag: 

1. Visit Site settings > Custom code tab
2. Paste the SHE Media Header code in the Head code section
3. Click Save changes

Configuring your ads.txt file

Every site in SHE Media needs an ads.txt file in order for the ads to work.  We're going to help you set up a redirect in Webflow so that when the ads.txt file is accessed, it will automatically point to your ads.txt file in our records.  That way, it was always be up to date.

How to get your ads.txt file from SHE Media

In the SHE Media dashboard (https://my.shemedia.com) you'll want to go to the menu and go to Settings >> Site and Ads and click on Ads.txt

In the screenshot below, you'll see a circled link. Right click on that and copy the url to your clipboard.

Setting up the redirect in Webflow

1. Go to Site settings > Publishing > 301 redirects‍
2. Type the old URL in the “Old Path” field (eg. /old-url)
3. Paste in the SHE Media ads.txt URL in the “Redirect to path” field (/entirely/new-url/structure)
4. Click Add redirect path
5. Publish your site

If you follow both those steps, you'll be able to get the main elements of our code installed, and the SHE Media team will be able to help you get individual ads installed after that.
