Up until very recently, we didn't allow Wix based sites in the SHE Media Partner Network. Why? Wix sites couldn't support our ads. It's as simple as that.
But with some recent changes, many people on Wix now have access to features that will let them run our ads. So if you've joined us, and are on Wix, please follow the quick check to make sure that your site has the technical ability. (It might require a higher level plan and please not we might not be able to offer you the same injections because of the limited technical abilities of Wix)
First, log into Wix.
Installing Our Ad Code
We'll first need to make sure that you can add our header code snippet to the <head></head> tags on your site. If you can follow through with these steps, you're good.
-
Go to Settings in your site's dashboard.
-
Click the Custom Code tab in the Advanced section.
-
Click + Add Custom Code at the top right.
-
Paste the code snippet in the text box. (That's the Header Code from the Ad Code section of the SHE Media Dashboard)
-
Enter a name for your code.
Tip: Make this descriptive - something like SHE Media. -
Select this option under Add Code to Pages:
-
All pages: This adds the code to all of your site's pages, including any new pages that you create in the future. (Make sure this code loads every time)
-
-
Choose where to place your code under Place Code in:.
-
Head
-
-
Click Apply.
Ads.txt
-
Go to the Marketing Integrations tab in your dashboard.
-
Scroll down to Ads.txt and click Connect.
-
Click Add ads.txt File near the top of the page.
-
In another tab in the SHE Media Dashboard, either click on the Ads.Txt step or go to Settings >> Site and Ads >> Ads.txt. There'll be a link just before the verify button that will let you download your ads.txt file.
-
Paste the contents of the text file into your Wix dashboard.
-
Click Save.
Important: Our ads.txt file changes regularly. Please try to download and re-paste your ads.txt file at least once a month, if not every other week. Otherwise, you are missing out on revenue from those providers whose lines aren't on your ads.txt page on your site.
Installing more ads to your site
You'll want to ask our team to help you by setting up your site with injections. Please note that we might be limited in where we can place them. Injection rules look for reliable locations using names. WSIWYG (What you see is what you get) site builders sometimes don't follow these rules. They assign random IDs to each div, which makes it difficult.
(You can also install tags using the custom code method to install a banner at the top of the page or the bottom - please contact support at support@shemedia.com or use the chat box to ask us to help you create a responsive ad for each)
