If you have a custom CMS or have a manual ads.txt file, we would urge you to try this instead - creating a redirect to keep your ads.txt file constantly up to date.
Having an up to date ads.txt is important, since it means you can monetize with our full stack of providers. We're constantly adding new providers and removing those that didn't perform as promised, so unless you want to update your file every week or every two weeks - this will be the easiest path forward.
The how of setting up a 301 redirect may vary from platform to platform - you might need to reach out to your host/developer. But we can provide you with all the information you need to give them.
How to get your SHE Media ads.txt file:
Login to your SHE Media Dashboard (https://my.shemedia.com), and go to your site settings, and click on Ads.txt. Scroll down to the bottom and you’ll see a link where you can download your ads.txt. Right click on it, and copy that URL.
What to ask your host for:
You'll want to ask your host or developer to set up a 301 redirect. (There are different types of redirects, this is intended to be a permanent one.)
The redirect will go from /ads.txt to the URL you copied from the dashboard. It should look something like:
https://ads.blogherads.com/bh/0/00/00/000/ads.txt
Will I need to update this?
No! Because this is creating a redirect to the ads.txt file that we generate for your account - this will always be up to date!
What if I need to include an ads.txt file for something else?
If you do need additional ads.txt lines added to your file, please contact your account manager with SHE Media or support@shemedia.zendesk.com. We will be able to add it to your file for you.
