Beginning July 2026, sites in the Collective will be getting a new upgrade.
Sites who will be undergoing this upgrade will receive two emails from the Collective team - one notifying them that this change will be happening, and one when the upgrade is complete.
What is being upgraded?
We are updating part of our code in order to speed up performance and help give you better results.
What will publishers need to do?
Nothing. No action is required. We've worked with our engineering team to make sure that this upgrade happens entirely behind the scenes. Our code uses two Javascript files that are called on your site as part of our header code. The header code links to two files on our servers - and that's where the changes will take place. On our servers.
Will I know when my site has been upgraded?
Each publisher will receive an email to let them know that their site has been upgraded. We do this so that you can take a look at your site and make sure that the ads are performing as expected. (As you should with any update/upgrade to your site)
Will there be any downtime?
No. The switch will be immediate - from our existing code to the upgrade. Because we're updating things in the scripts that load on your page, there will be no downtime.
What if I see anything?
You can email your contact at the Collective, or we've created this Google form for you to submit the issue you've spotted. Our team will investigate. If it's related to the upgrade, we'll send it to our engineers. If it is not related, we will take care of it ourselves.
