1. The termination date that we give you is the day you remove our code.
- If you're using our Infuse plugin, just deactivate and remove the plugin.
- If you manually installed our code, remove the header code from your theme. (If you look up our installation guides for your platform, just work in reverse)
- If you manually installed our ads.txt file or created a redirect, you can remove that from your site.
Please do not remove it earlier - we're using the time until your termination date to remove you from upcoming ad buys, from publicity materials. Our influencer teams do often work with people who have left the Collective. If you drop our code early and without notice, it can affect future projects with those teams.
Note: If you do not remove your code on this day, we will not deactivate you in our system. If we see SHE Media code up on your site, we'll keep checking weekly to see if it's been removed. We do this so that if there's a delay with your new network, you will keep earning until that code is implemented.
2. If your new network asks you to put up code, don't be afraid to ask us about settings to avoid conflicts.
For example, you will need to place their ads.txt line up with ours for MCM approval purposes, and we can help make sure that happens. If they're asking you to install code, make sure that it doesn't include an embedded privacy CMP - otherwise it can interfere with your earnings by blocking our code.
For publishers going to Mediavine / Journey, we have some more information in this guide.
3. We will optimize you right up to your final day with us. Don't hesitate to ask us to do what we can to get maximum earnings.
If you are leaving us for Raptive, they might tell you that they don't want us to change your ad layout. We will do our best to honor that, but please reach out to us if you see that any ad injections stop showing, or if you think there are technical issues we should address.
4. Your dashboard will show that you're closed out 1-14 days after your termination date.
We usually close out sites once a week, and try to make sure to give you a week or so to remove code - just to ensure that if you change your mind, you haven't been closed out fully.
As long as you have removed our code from your page, we will put in your termination date in our system and close out your site profile. Again, if you have not removed our code, we will not close out your site in our system.
5. We will continue to pay you out on schedule.
SHE Media pays on a net 35 schedule (with payments coming 35 days after the close of the month). We will continue to pay out the months owed to you on schedule, with your final payment including everything owed, even if you're under the payment threshhold. If you have any questions about the payments at all - just reach out to the helpdesk.
Other things to note: If you've removed our code (the easiest way to remove Infuse is to go to the plugins list in Wordpress and delete it from your plugins), and your new provider is still seeing our script - make sure you flush your site's cache. (A cache is a stored amount of data. Your site will save an image of your site to help speed up load times. Browsers do this in a separate cache)
For wordpress sites, the easieset way to clear your cache is to be logged into your site's wordpress dashboard. Up at the top of the screen will be a black bar. Look for an option that lets you pick purge cache, clear cache.
If you're using Nitropack - you can login into their service and click purge there, it'll be a big button at the top of the overview for your site.
