What is AMP?
AMP is a stripped-down HTML framework for mobile pages that was designed to speed up and simplify pages for mobile readers, giving them the content they want faster, with lighter pages and minimal load times. With more and more web traffic shifting to mobile, having an optimized mobile experience is more important than ever.
Why would I use AMP?
AMP puts your mobile readers first, ensuring the best possible experience for them when visiting your site. With the simplified AMP page layout, your site can have faster performance and higher engagement rates, with less data usage for your visitors. Google suggests that AMP pages are up to 85% faster than traditional mobile pageviews, improving a site's Page Speed ranking for mobile.
What are the downsides of using AMP?
The biggest downside of using AMP is that the simplified AMP version of your site probably won't have as much visual appeal, especially if you're using a plugin or basic implementation, and not a custom-built AMP page by a developer. Your pages will look the same in style and layout as many other AMP sites.
Also, in AMP's simplified framework, some plugins, CSS, and external JavaScript will not work on the page unless they are designed to work with AMP. Images and video will always continue to work, but any special features of your site may need a quick check to know if they'll appear on the AMP version of the page or not.
So should I use AMP?
We can't determine if AMP is right for your site or not. For some sites, the speed improvement from AMP is worth simplifying the layout. For other sites, just having a smart mobile design that balances page speed with a desired layout and features is enough.
How do I enable AMP on my site?
For WordPress users, unless you have a developer to build AMP pages for you, you'll need to rely on a plugin to serve AMP pages. This is the official WordPress plugin for the AMP project: https://wordpress.org/plugins/amp/
For Blogger users, you'll either need a developer's help, or you'll need to feel comfortable making major changes to your site's template. You can find a guide on how to enable AMP here: https://www.superwebtricks.com/implement-amp-blogger/ There are also a number of Blogger site templates that already have AMP added to them, but if you don't want to change the entire look of your site, adding AMP to your current template is probably the best option.

To find our AMP ads in the dashboard, simply go to Site & Ads >> Your Ad Code and click on the tab that says AMP.
But wait, how do my ads work with AMP?
When viewing an AMP page, your usual ads will be stripped out of the page. That's because AMP requires all ads to be in an AMP-specific format to appear on the page. However, we have AMP-specific ad tags you can use so you don't miss out on monetizing your AMP pages! You can find these in the Ad Sizes section of your account, under the AMP tab.
