If you're reading this, you likely found an ad that you don't feel that should be advertised on your site.
SHE Media's ads come in two different types. We have direct sold ads (ads that our in-house sales team have negotiated with brands), as well as programmatic ads (which we get from a variety of programmatic exchanges).
We do set guidelines on what we feel is/isn't appropriate. You should not see ads that are about gambling, adult-themed, or are diet ads that are rooted in taking pills.
Sometimes, things slip through.
Programmatic ads rely on the brands to tag them appropriately (because of the volume of ad buys) and sometimes, things slip in. As well as something that might be a t-shirt site, and tagged as such - but contains t-shirt designs that might be objectionable.
So what do you do?
How to report a bad ad
1. Take a screenshot. Ads refresh, so you have to get that screenshot as quickly as you possibly can. The full page is better, especially if there's a timestamp.
2. Hover over the ad, and try to get a screenshot of the ad's path too. That gives an idea of where the ad might be coming from, what the creative is.
If you've asked us to turn on our ad reporting service, click that Report Ad link. It'll put it in a queue so that we can see exactly what creative you're seeing.
Email us at support@shemedia.com with all this information - include the time zone you're in, your general location. All of these things will help us narrow down where the ad came from if you couldn't provide us with that information.
What can SHE Media do?
Once we know where the ad is coming from, we can work to block that advertiser on your site. If it's part of a direct campaign, we will let you know whether or not this might negatively impact revenue - but we'll be able to opt you out. Programmatic ads are sometimes harder to block, but we will do our absolute best.
