Leaving Ezoic is complicated, unfortunately. As easy as they claim to make installation, it’s sometimes difficult and frustrating to remove all the pieces of their code. (Even though they say in their guides you just “simply reverse the process”)
There are three main ways to install Ezoic’s code on their site, so we’ll discuss these as the three places you want to look to remove it.
- On WordPress - Ezoic’s plugin. Simply uninstall it, and purge your site’s cache. That should remove the ad code.
- Cloudflare. If your site uses Cloudflare, you likely used the Ezoic portal to connect these two. You will be able to login and see if it’s connected, and there should be a black box to remove cloudflare from ezoic.
(If you’re concerned about this at all - contact Cloudflare directly to ask them how to remove this. They should be able to help you with this part) - DNS servers. Ezoic has a way to add in the code via DNS reroutes. This is a trickier way that you might be a little nervous about using - but if you contact your webhost and ask them about the DNS servers, and ask them to reset them to the host’s default values.
