It's very common to track your earnings for a month, and see a different value when you receive your SHE Media payment. As we state in the dashboard at the bottom of the reporting screen, the data in our reports during the month is your estimated earnings and we don't count them as finalized until payments are issued.
What does estimated earnings mean?
We receive information from our providers daily during the month. This data is unreconciled - our providers and our data team vet the data for obvious errors, but it hasn't been examined carefully. So it's your estimated earnings, because things can change.
Reconciling the data
At the end of the month, we begin our reconciliation process. Our providers will come back with adjustments. Sometimes they discover duplicate information. But most often they'll come back to say that an amount of revenue shouldn't be paid out- because they've determined the traffic behind those ads was a bot or other suspicious traffic. (This is why it's important to not purchase traffic - it might seem like a great shortcut to growth, but providers and advertisers will flag that traffic as suspicious and you won't get paid for any of it. Worse still, you could get your site blacklisted by providers and Google itself)
Once SHE Media and our providers reconcile the earnings for the month, we lock that data in and update it in the dashboard - and that's what you are paid. (On rare occasions, there can be some later adjustments, so it might differ a little further in the dashboard - but you can always ask the support team at support@shemedia.zendesk.com to get a breakdown from Accounting of what your actual payment was for the month.)
